I spent most of the weekend in Duluth, MN with my family. We did a college tour on Friday morning for/with my niece then did a bunch of touristy things. I didn't exercise at all on Friday. I didn't eat horribly but I know I would have exceeded my calorie goal range. On Saturday, I got in a 45 minute run by Lake Superior. That was beautiful. Definitely helped with the monotony of running. I ordered an OK sandwich (turkey) but found out after it came that the bread was grilled -- and it came with French Fries (a huge weakness for me). So, I ate the whole sandwich, even though it was huge, and the fries. That lunch had to have been 1200+ calories. I did get the run in, as I said, and we did do a bit of walking, stairs, hiking, and such. The day on Saturday was pretty active although not strenuously active.
There were a few cheats too. I had ice cream on Friday night (which was basically my diner as we ate lunch at 2:30 in the afternoon). On Saturday, my sister bought a ton of candy at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I nibbled here and there (chocolate covered raisins and caramel apples count as fruit, right?) =).
We got back Saturday evening. On Sunday morning, I was afraid that I would be up more than I wanted to be so I didn't step on the scale. Yes, I'm a chicken! I stepped on the scale today, ready to 'face the music' as it were and was down 2.8 pounds since Friday. So, cool, but how did that happen? Anyway, here's to keeping the momentum!!
