MS 5: Week 1 Check-In

31 weeks. That's how long I've been at this. On average, I've lost just over 1 pound a week (1.08). At my week 1 check-in for milestone 5, I'm officially at -2 pounds for this milestone and -33.5 pounds total. I'm not sure how, but somehow I'm up 1 pound since yesterday. No clue what caused that. Maybe it'll be gone again tomorrow! =)

I'm pretty happy about the -2 for this week since I was kind of expecting to gain or be flat because of Thanksgiving and because of adding weight training to my exercise routine. I'm thrilled with -2. I exceeded my weight loss goal for this week. And - kind of - made my exercise goal. I'm slightly above goal for total number of minutes exercising (actual 315, goal 270) but I didn't get in my three weight training days. I got in just two. It just wasn't possible to fit in three days when I stayed at my parents house for 3 days. Also, at least 90 minutes of the exercise was walking without my heart rate monitor. So, it was still Moving More, but not necessarily at the ideal level. But, that's life. You take and be happy with what you can fit in.

Hopefully, I'll be able to post on target or above numbers for next week. I don't really have anything planned (that's a key word) to cause me to not make my goals. Until then. . .

Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.

-2 with Thanksgiving? Excellent!!! I agree that Moving More, even if it's not exactly as you planned, is still better than doing nothing at all. I'm actually wishing PM and I could walk farther each day, but she complains the whole time. My feet hurt, how much longer, I'm hungry, etc. It's all I can do to convince her to take one lap around the neighborhood! With consistency, though, I'm hoping she'll get over her negative attitude.
