The membership at Anytime Fitness seems to be working out. I don't hate going there. If I can get my tail out of work on time, I can make it there early enough that hardly anyone else is there. I like that. Seems that there is one other women and one guy that keep about the same schedule as me. Fortunately, the guy is not the guy who saw the disaster of an fashion statement last week! As I was leaving on Tuesday night, the only class that Anytime offers was just getting started. It's called "Look Good Naked". It's a high intensity cardio and resistance class. I think it's similar to the Boot Camp classes that other places offer. After being a voyeur for about 5 minutes (during my cool down and stretching), I decided I am so not ready for that yet.
Worked my tail off last night with Renee. I'm not sure how or why but I had a lot of energy and drive last night. I kept wanting to push myself harder (go figure!!) but Renee kept holding me back saying I don't want you to be too sore tomorrow. There were a couple of new exercises. I always like the variety. One I so wanted to do with a heavier weight and another ab/core exercise (which Renee calls "juicers" -- sit on the floor or a bench, kind of perched on your tail bone, knees to chest. Then extend the legs parallel to the floor and lean back (neither back nor legs ever touching the floor) then squeeze back into the V/crunch position). She said, let's shoot for 10, they're really intense, we'll quit sooner if you break form. I did 15 then she made me stop. I woke up in the night knowing why I pay her to help me. My chest (from presses and push ups) and my abs were already starting to get stiff. It's probably a really good thing she stopped me or I might have been a mess today (or more of a mess!).
Even though I usually have Thursdays as a 'day of rest', I think I'll hit cardio tonight. To reasons, burn off some of the stiffness and to get a head start on my exercise goals for this week. I plan to visit the family this weekend; which usually throws off my schedule a bit.
Like most things, it's all about planning, right?? Let's hope this planning can shake up or break the plateau during this week.
Until later. . .
Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.

Plateaus suck but you're doing all the right things. I hear you talk about some of the exercises Rene has you do, and I think I'm so not ready for that, either!
