Aside from the fact that we got about 8 inches of snow, it's been a good weekend. For my eating, it helped that I stayed home. Since I had worked out for 6 days in a row before Saturday, Saturday was a day of rest and recovery for me. Well, I didn't totally rest the day away. I cleaned my house and then put up all my Christmas stuff. Several hours of puttering around the house. So, I was moving and active (Move More!) but nothing of high intensity. Again, since I was at home, I was able to easily stay within my nutrition plan on both days. Today's not over but I'm pretty confident that I'm not going to blow it in the next 5-6 hours. I just had a protein bar (after returning from the gym) so I'm not even a little hungry. I'll eat dinner around 6 and be good for the night.
Today, I hit the gym and hit it pretty hard. I lifted for about 75 minutes and then did a 45 minute cardio-circuit on the treadmill. I have no idea where the energy came from; but it was there so I put it to good use. I would walk for 3 minutes at 4.0 (incline=2) then jog at 5.8 or so for about a minute and a half. Me, jogging! Who would have guessed it. =)
The scale's been kind too. At the risk of jinxing my self (please, please, please don't let that happen), I've lost 2.4 pounds since my Wednesday check-in. Maintaining the next two days would be OK. Dropping another .5 to 1 pound would be fabulous! Even though I'm doing well, I'm not backing off. Every .2 or more of a pound lost puts me that much closer to my goal. Today, I'm 5.4 pounds away from 100, and 3.6 pounds away from my year end goal. If I can keep up this pace, maybe I'll make the 5.4 by year end! I've got 4 whole weeks. That's 1.3 pounds per week. Totally possible.
