OK, so, realistically, I should be able to meet that goal by the end of milestone 14 if I stay the course at 1 pound a week. That means January 16, 2008. However, I'm stating here that IT WILL HAPPEN BY 12/31/2007. I would LOVE to be at my first goal by the end of the year. Holy cow - the dream would become a reality. I some ways it seems too long ago, like I've been at it forever. In other ways, the time has gone by lickety split.
Now, you may be wondering what I mean by "my first goal". My first goal is getting within the published guidelines for a healthy weight for my height. My final goal, will be the weight my Doctor sets (which coincidentally will happen mid to late January). I suspect it may be slightly lower than my goal -- but hopefully not more than 10 pounds lower. To manage my own expectations, I'm planning on her (my Dr.) telling me I need to lose just a bit more to be more towards the middle of the healthy range.
Next week, or later this week, I want to post a recap of where I am as opposed to where I would be, if I had made every goal since the beginning. I am behind that number but the results speak for themselves. I plan for this to be an exercise in goal setting versus berating myself for missing goals.
This week:
-0.2 pound for the week;
-3.2 pounds for the milestone;
-84.4 total
I exactly made my exercise goal, exercising 5 days for a total of 270 minutes.
Until later . . .
Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.
