I thought I was taking kick-boxing. Turns out it was actually Cardio Circuit Boxing. I LOVED IT. There are 6 stations. You spend two minutes at each station (hence, the circuit part). The stations include the heavy bag, the reflex bag, focus mitts, shadow boxing, jumping rope, and ab work. I was the only one in the class tonight. That worked out great since it was my first time doing it. Renee was able to give me personalized attention. I just despise boxing -- watching it live. I'm mean, come on. Why would you volunteer for the chance to have some one beat the snot out of out? However, there is something very pleasing and satisfying about thumping an inanimate object when no one or nothing gets hurt. It was a really good work out. My heart rate was up there, I was sweaty, and I know my legs are going to be tired and sore tomorrow.
I'm so glad I tried it! Now, if I can just the get scale to cooperate. I was doing well until I had pizza at the parents on Sunday. I expected to be up some on Monday. Which I was. But it was more than I expected (1.4 pounds), and because that bugged me, I stepped on the scale a couple of times today (I was on vacation). Based on those numbers, I think I can expect to be up again tomorrow!!! What the Sam Hell is going on? Doesn't the person in charge know I'm trying to reach a goal?
