MS13: Week 2 Check-In

This has been a big week. Almost a 5 pound loss this week! Very exciting! For the last two weeks, I've gotten in three lifting days and three cardio days. Maybe that extra effort just took a while to catch up with me. I'm posting this on Friday morning, two days after my official check-in and 'unofficially', I'm down almost another two pounds (1.8). Progress like this should make my 11/28 goal totally possible. That would be un-freaking-believable! I just have to stay at it and not let these early successes give me a false sense of confidence. I still have over 3 pounds to go and just under 3 weeks to do it. History has shown me that even one pound a week can be difficult at times. Now is not a time to be letting up. I must stay as focused as I have been these last two weeks.

My loss this week officially puts me at an even 90 pounds lost. I'm only 10 pounds away from by origianl "semi-final" goal of losing 100 pounds. (that's 8.2 as of today) Yippee!!

Also this week, I think I can officially say my pants have out grown me again. I have one pair that I can take off without unbuttoning or unzipping them! On 8/22, my post (http://movemore.blogspot.com/2007/08/ms11-week-3-check-in.html) indicated that I went shopping and bought size 12 pants. Those are the ones that are now too big -- and it's been less than 2 months. That was about 14 pounds ago. I guess that seems reasonable. That about 15 pounds would be one size. All of the shirts I bought in August still fit. I hope that's telling me that my biology is finally, finally willing to let go of some of the weight that's centered between my navel and my knees. I have lost on top too -- arms, chest and back -- the shirts are a little bit roomier but by no means do I consider them too big. So, I've got to get pants again, and at least one pair of jeans for my date on Saturday! That's the other part of the big news this week. Holy cow.

This week:
-4.6 pounds for the week;
-3.2 pounds for the milestone;
-90 total

I exceeded my exercise goal, exercising 6 days for a total of 330 minutes for the second week in a row.

Until later . . .

Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.
