MS7: Week 3 Check-In

I'm horribly off schedule. It's now Saturday and I'm just getting my 'Wednesday' check-in posted. Works been crazy busy and I was in Birmingham earlier this week, including Wednesday. So my weigh-in is as of Thursday, after having been gone. I'd like to blame my results this check-in on traveling; but, alas, I was out of whack before leaving on Tuesday. If anything, I must have done okay while gone as I didn't gain more weight. Traveling interrupts my food plan, my water consumption, and my exercise. So, not gaining even more weight is definitely a good thing.

As of Thursday, I was up (again!) by 1.6 pounds. That puts me at -0.6 for this milestone and -49.8 total. I also missed my exercise goal by one cardio day and one lifting day. I hoped to avoid that but realistically expected it to happen. I did workout on Wednesday morning at the hotel, but for only 40 minutes because: 1) it was about 80 degrees in the health club and 2) my iPod ran out of battery, and 3) my only option was a treadmill, which I hate. Considering those three things, 40 minutes is damn good!

I lifted with Renee Thursday night and I could tell I missed some days and that I wasn't well rested. I had zero energy going into the workout. It was still good, and I worked as hard as I could, but it was pretty obvious to me that it was an 'off' night. As of Friday morning, I had recovered some, losing 1.6 - putting me at -2.2 for the milestone and -51.4 total. Plateau anyone?

This week I'm house and dog sitting for a friend. I won't have my scale so I won't know for sure if the numbers I see this week are 'true' or off by a difference in scales. But, being away from home won't be an interruption, unless I let it happen. I can easily go back and let the dogs out to play a while, then either use the elliptical machine (how convenient that Peggy has the same one I do!!) or head out to Anytime to lift. No excuses. I'll hit the grocery store today to get my food set and then I'm good for the week. And, another thing. The weather is absolutely beautiful. I'll take the dogs for a walk too... Every reason to succeed and no reason to fail. Right?

Until later. . .

Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.
