I knew I would be up today. I ate out twice in one day which is never a good thing no matter how well I behave. We ate out at lunch at DaVinci's for Jenny's birthday. I ate less than half of my portion but I still think it was more sodium, fat, and calories than a typical lunch. Then, I ate out at The Big Bowl for Christie's birthday. I ate from the veggie stir-fry bar so I could have some control over the ingredients. I ate about 1/2 of the portion (which was mostly veggies). But, I think the sauce (Kung Pao) and the rice (lots o' carbs) are sitting on my hips. Lots of sodium again. I drank about 4 glasses of water to help balance the increased sodium (probably 4x or more than normal). But alas, I was still up 1.4 pounds between yesterday and today. I'm HOPING it will come off quickly (again!).
So, as of today, I'm up .4 (that's the honest number) for the week which puts me at -4.2 for the milestone and -53.4 total. I missed my exercise goal by 60 minutes (one day). That was poor planning on my part versus lack of will. I intended to exercise last night -- which would have put me at goal -- but totally forgot I was having dinner with Christie until Monday; which was too late in the week to play catch-up. I guess the lesson learned is never save my off day (or 2 days) till the end of the week or I'll get caught with my pants down (that's figuratively speaking, ONLY).
Next week is the last week of this milestone and I don't have high hopes. I'm sure I won't make my goal of 10 pounds, since I'm only at 4 pounds now! Plus, I'm going out of town this weekend (Friday through Sunday) with the bowling team. This means less chance to exercise and more temptation (snacks and eating every meal "out"). That's so not a good combination. If I can make 5 pounds this milestone, I'll be very pleased. I'll bring workout clothes with me to Cragun's as they do have a small health club. However, late nights and early mornings don't allow much time to fit a workout in. I'm working and praying for the best!!
Until later. . .
Think Smart. Eat Well. Move More.
