MS9: Week 4 Check-In

For this week, my official Wednesday check-in number is a average of my weigh-in numbers on Tuesday and Wednesday. I was in Birmingham on Tuesday and Wednesday, and so missed my official weigh-on. There's always good news and bad news, right? The good news is that as of Tuesday, I had lost 4.8 pounds. The bad news is that after two days of travel and eating out, I was only down 1.2. Since the numbers varied so greatly, I decided to average the two and came up with a loss of 3 pounds for this week. That puts me at -3 for the week, -0.4 for the milestone and -66.2 total. I missed my exercise goal by one occurrence (which was only 35 minutes since I exercised a little extra one day). I best get my butt in gear or this will be the worst milestone ever! Well, it still may be but, technically, I'm not even down a pound in 4 weeks!

Happy anniversary! On June 6, I 'celebrated' the passing of one year living my new lifestyle. Amazing! For the year (as of 6/6/07), I've lost 66.2 pounds. That averages 1.27 pounds per week. A very respectable number for a person trying to make lasting, long-term changes. I've adjusted my view on food. I've added portion control. I've incorporated weight-lifting into my normal exercise routine. I have a normal exercise routine. And, it's been over one year (closer to 13 months) of being 'caffeine free'. I do drink decaf coffee and an occasional caffeine free pop -- so, technically, I'm not totally, 100% caffeine free but it's close enough for me.

Hopefully, by this time next year, I'll be reporting on several (at least 4-5) months of being in maintenance mode. I'm not exactly sure how much more I'll lose. I'm thinking at least 30. When I get closer, I plan to check with my Dr to set a healthy and reasonable number. I know that last weight comes off the slowest so I really hope to be able to drop the last 30 pounds for sure over the next 12 months, if not the next 6-7 months. Keep on plugging along!

Until later. . .
