Hurmph!

Up a pound today. Yesterday, I snacked some, though really not very much, at a Christmas party. I had a sensible lunch (salad with grilled chicken) and a turkey sandwich and fruit for dinner. Both the salad and the sandwich were purchased out rather than being things I made from home. So, I suppose a few things could be working against me like more salt than normal and portion size. I did try to manage that. The salad was the "lunch portion" but it probably had more chicken than I'd ordinarily eat for lunch. The sandwich was indeed small but it was on ciabatta bread (or however you spell that). I think the meat portion was fine but the bread was probably not. Oh, well, at least I know I tried and did the best with the options I had rather than thinking "If I'm going to blow it I might as well really blow it and have... ". I can't actually put the choice in now as I don't want to think about food or I'll get hungry.

I just finished my weight training (yeah, me!). I didn't get all 15 of my 'skull-crushers' in on the second round. When my arms get shaky and I think I can't lift the weights, I get chicken and quit. Because really, if you drop the weak, you'll drop them on your face/head. I figured better to do 13 with good form and without injury than to risk 2 more. I did do all 15 on the first set. It was the second second set where I didn't finish all of them. But, I did the workout, tried my best, and worked up a good sweat. Works for me.

I splurged for dinner and had half of a Chipotle burrito bol. I was out doing some shopping/returning. Technically, the portion size is fine but it's way salty. I hope I'm not up more again tomorrow. That'd make me way sad.
